Some people have dreams to be famous, others have dreams to be infamous,
Some have dreams to be rich, others have dreams of a family.
Some have dreams to finish school, start a career, and hopefully retire someday.
Others....dreams to make a difference in society. We all have dreams. (slow)
But what if God gave you a dream that was different, a dream that was far better than what the world could offer?
What if there was a group of people who united in prayer and dreamed together?
What if there was a generation of young people who were ready to dream a big dream and do a big thing for God?
What if these people took their dream and ran with it instead of just talking about it?
What if by the year 2020, these few people had now multiplied by the masses, and what was once a humble beginning, was now a new generation of underdogs living for Jesus Christ!
What if by that time, the annual giving for Speed the Light, was over $150,000 a year?
What if we had over 500 campus missionaries reporting each month with hundreds of lives saved each year?
What if we incorporated the 7 project, school assemblies that target students, in each section of our district?
What if........we had over 500 students each year, participate in both Fine Arts and Kappa Tau, discovering, developing, and deploying students in ministry.
What if we purchased our own campground, built it, and saw over 1500 students come to camp every summer and commit their lives to Jesus?
What if we held multiple missions trips both home and abroad, that would give young people the opportunity to use their gifts and become youth in ministry!
What if we saw youth conventions in the thousands, a culminating experience where young people will encounter the very presence of God!
What if this new district, by the year 2020, were spear-headed by a movement of young ministers, planting churches where no one would even dream of going.
It’s possible. We just have to Dream Big.
Introducing Dreaming2020 - A vision to see to 200 churches with 20,000 young people impacting thousands more - over the the next ten years.
The only way we’ll see 2020 is with the power of God.
